I will be off to Japan for a few days at the end of next week. While I am there I am going to spend a night at a nice (or so I hope) ryokan in Atami called Horai. I think my parents actually stayed here once a couple of years ago when they visited Japan. My room should have an ocean view. November isn’t actually the best time of year to visit a sea-side resort like Atami, but then again I think it will be quite relaxing.

The Relais & Chateaux homepage describes it like this:

The only sound that you will hear in this idyllic haven, bathed in the aromas of ancient Japan, is the wind murmuring in the cherry trees or the waves rolling onto the sands. The minimalist «sukiya» style apartments, decorated with fresh flowers, open out directly onto the ocean. Relax in the open-air hot springs, then enjoy Japanese seafood in your room or savour French cuisine at the «Nanki Bunko» restaurant.

Sounds good to me.

Of course between now and then I have some other travel to do for business including going to Beijing this coming Friday through Sunday and then straight to Sanya from Monday to Wednesday.
